Harrison Family

Rick Harrison was born in Dallas and is an honors graduate from Lake Highlands High School. His father was an attorney in Dallas and a former Special Agent with the FBI. His mother was a flight attendant with American Airlines. He attended the University of Texas at Austin. He then attended South Texas College of Law in Houston where he met his wife, Lisa Gent.

After law school, he became a prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and worked there for almost five years. He tried 124 jury trials, ranging from DWI to Capital Murder, before he left to go into private practice.

While in private practice for twelve years, Mr. Harrison tried 66 jury trials, many of them high profile felony cases and six Capital Murder- Death Penalty trials. He is a past President of the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (2003). He has tried 49 capital murder and murder jury trials as a prosecutor and defense lawyer. Lisa was a prosecutor with the Kaufman County DA’s office, from 1989-1999, and is a Past President of the Kaufman County Bar Association.

The Harrisons have two sons, Hunter, 13, and Spencer, 10. Hunter attends Warren Middle School and Spencer attends Henderson Elementary School in Forney. They are members of Fellowship Baptist Church in Forney and Cedar Creek Country Club in Kemp.
